Day FOUR of Seven Days of Encouragement with Ms. Ongel

Quote by Ms. Ongel: “A heart of thanksgiving will continue to receive from the Lord”

Bible Verse: 1 Chronicles 16:34 “Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good; his mercies endures forever.”

My sister, let me just share this with you!! I love the phase “thank you” because it lets the persons on the giving end know that I recognize what they have done for me, and I am just grateful. It really isn’t pretty to be ungrateful to anyone who used their time and energies to help you along life journey. I can’t imagine myself being a beautiful woman with an “ungrateful heart”. Sis, I must say that having a “heart of thanksgiving” will continue to open doors for you, and move the hands of God on your behalf. Every day that we are alive and well, we ought to give thanks to the Lord for his lovingkindness towards us endures forever. This means that we should spend time praying to him, worshiping him, and live according to his word because his love outlast everything.

Overtime, many people shared testimonies about the Lord’s lovingkindness towards them; essentially he released something unto them at the point of their need, or that very thing their heart desired. How do you respond to the Lord when he answers your prayer with a “Yes” or “I cannot give it to you now”? If you have only been rejoicing when you receive “Yes” and unhappy at “I cannot give it to you now”; sis it’s time to reassess your emotional response. I must encourage you to give thanks to the Lord in spite of the outcome of a situation. Because the Lord knows every detail of our lives; I promise you that he will never fail you. According to 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. It is important for you to live life in the will of God because anything outside of his will is going to set you off course, and cause you to take a longer time to experience the fulfillment of his promises in your life.

How do you respond when you ask a friend or family member for something, and the response was “I cannot gave it to you”? Did you get upset at the answer you received? If your answer is “Yes” I want to let you know that it’s humanly to show emotions; I want to admonish you not to allow someone else’s response to control your emotions. “No” today doesn’t mean “No” tomorrow. You may not always receive things when you WANT them; but you may very well receive them when you are in NEED.

Finally sis, at the appointed time you will receive your heart’s desire from the Lord. As you maintain a “hearth of thanksgiving”, heaven would be pleased with you, and your love ones would be moved to help you. My prayer is that heaven respond to your petitions with the answer, “YES”.

May you flourish in your God given Assignment.

Stay Blessed!!

Go ahead and “Girl Just Shine”.

Yours Truly,

Ms. Ongel
