Day ONE of Seven Days of Encouragement with Ms. Ongel
Quote by Ms. Ongel:“Preparation creates an atmosphere for a successful delivery of oneself in any given assignment”.
Bible Verse: Psalms 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”.
Have you ever had to prepare for an important mission travel, which cause you to begin preparing a couple months in advance? Some of you normally create a list of all the things you need to do in order to be prepared for the trip. You, then begin to work on those things, and check them off as you go-along, right? I agree, that’s me too!! On the list you may have these two to-dos, for example, begin packing luggage/bags; or do minor shopping for essentials for the trip. That’s right Girl, I am right there with you!!
Let me just tease you a bit!! Like many of us, we may have packed & unpacked our bags multiple times prior to the trip just to make sure all the essentials fit neatly into our bags for the trip.
Nonetheless, here are a couple things we may discover while upon arrival at our destination:
1. We may have left something at home that we most likely needed on the trip, which would cause us to spend unnecessarily for a replacement. Girl, yes I been there too!! Some of us may relate to feeling sad, stressed, and even anxious because we didn’t carefully prepare for the trip.
2. We may not even wear some of the clothing we’ve packed, correct? So basically we over packed and we’ve had to bring some of those unworn outfits right back home to our closet. Oh, my!! (Lol)
Sis, I understand we may not always get it right when planning trips, BUT we are responsible for how we prepare ourselves to deliver in any given assignment. This means that we must take time to prepare ourselves for assignments or opportunities that may present themselves to us along this life journey.
Oftentimes we treat our relationship with Christ just like the way we prepare for our various trips. In this same manner, we still want to hear God’s voice, want to make a big in this world (using our gifts & talents); we want all the blessings he promised us; we want to make a name for ourselves or poof make it into heaven. STOP!! Some of us don’t spend time preparing for any of these things. Truth is, if we fail to spend time in HIS presence: not worshiping HIM, praying nor reading HIS word; we are actually setting ourselves up to go places and work on assignments unprepared.
Be Encouraged
Sis, I want to encourage you to spend time preparing for whatever you want the Lord to do through you. His word would help you to navigate through your preparation season. Beautiful, the Lord wants a full-time NOT a part-time relationship, which would allow HIM to prepare you for the assignment(s) he has called you to fulfill in each season of your live. The Lord is waiting to equip you with the wisdom, knowledge and understanding as you spend quality time with HIM. Now is the time to turn your attention to HIM, set your mind, eyes and ears on HIM, by doing so you will not home without using ALL that is on the inside of you. Thus, you will be prepare to bless people; help to bring liberation and freedom to those in bondage, or even help others become who the Lord has created them to be.You have the answer that the person right next to you needs; sis if you didn’t know, now you know. This is the time for us to allow the Lord to perfect those imperfect areas in our lives. I pray that we will show up at our next level assignment fully prepared to be successful.
May you flourish in your God given assignment.
Stay Blessed!!
Go ahead and “Girl Just Shine”.
Yours Truly,
Ms. Ongel
